Raven by Designer stitch

Raven is the new pattern avalaible by Designer Stitch. Raven is a Cami, Chemise or Slip dress.

The pattern is cut into bias and that gives a beautiful shape suitable for all figure types.

You can wear it on the streets or use it like a sensual slip dress.

The patter doesn’t include an A Cup, but if you have a A cup as I am, you only need to use a 3 cm seam allowances on the sides. That’s all.

Sizes: 34 to 58 (European sizes) 2-24 (EUA sizes). Curs: B, C, D, DD (E). I have sewn size 38 (3) blended to 40 (4) on waist and hips (my RTW size is 40, as reference). I am 1,65 cm tall. My bust cup is A so I used a 3 cm seam allowances on sides and that’s all.

Assembly: Optionals no trim file or trim file pages. The pieces fit perfectly.

Language: English but instructions are so detailed that is not a problem not to understand the language, just with drawings and Google translation you can do it without problems.

Views: lots of options: front or back v-neck, standard back. Skim fit or semi fitted with waist darts. Choose length between 48, 53 or 58 cm from waist. I have sewn slip view in longest version (58), semi fit with front and back v-neck. Also you can choose between two diferents straps adjustable or not!

Tutorial: Step by step with graphics are included. Notches fit perfectly

Recommended fabrics: you can use a lot of woven materials.

Puedes escoger entre un archivo que debes recortar los margenes para pegar el patrón o otro archivo con el que puedes montar el patrón sin tener que recortar margenes. Es la primera vez que encuentro estas posibilidades y me encanta la idea. Opción multicapa. Margen de costura de 1,5 cm incluid0.

Tallas: 34 a 58 (europeas) 2-24 (tallas EUA). Copas: B, C, D, DD (E). Yo he cosido la talla 38 (3) de pecho y 40 (4) en la cintura y las caderas (mi tamaño RTW es 40, como referencia). Tengo 1,65 cm de altura. Mi busto es A, así que usé un margen de costura de 3 cm en los lados y eso es todo.

Montaje de patrón: Puedes imprimir un archivo que debes recortar margenes del papel para montar el patrón o bien otro archivo diferente en el que el patrón no requiere ser cortado para engancharlo. Me parece un valor añadido a esta marca. Personalmente no lo había visto nunca. Las piezas encajan perfectamente.

Idioma: inglés, pero las instrucciones son detalladas y no es un problema no entender el idioma, sólo con los gráficos y la traducción de Google puedes hacerlo sin problemas.

Opciones: muchas opciones: cuello de pico delantero o trasero, espalda estándar. Ajuste estrecho o semi-ajustado con pinzas en el delantero (que si prefieres puedes poner en la espalda) La longitud puedes escogerla entre 48, 53 o 58 cm desde la cintura. Yo he cosido la versión Slip más larga (58), semi ajustado con cuello en V delantero y trasero. ¡También puedes elegir entre tirantes fixos o ajustables.

Telas recomendadas: puede usar muchos materiales no elásticos.

My last tester is this Wardrobe by me pattern call Builder T-shirt. It is a very versatile fifted t-shirt style.

This pattern comes with 5 necklines, 6 sleeve lenghts, 2 body lengths with straight or curved hem option, so you will have more than 90 different options to get all the t-shirts that you could ever need.

I did boat neck because is one of my favorites necks styles and try to match all lines of my fabric… and it was hard to do it!

I made size 38 in the shoulders grading up to 40 on waist and hips.

It has two versions: long or cropped pants. As you see I have sewn a long version and I really love it.

Tiene dos versiones: pantalones largos o piratas. Como veis yo he cosido la versión larga, y me encanta el resultado.

They has high waist, wide waistband and an invisible zipper on the side. For this model you can use a lot of materials such as corduroy, cotton satin, light wool, jeans, linen. I used light wool.

Tienen cintura alta, cinturilla ancha y una cremallera invisible en el lateral. Para este patrón puedes utilizar muchos materiales como pana, algodón satinado, lana ligera, jeans o lino. Usé lana ligera, finita para entretiempo.

The result is very comfortable and feminine pants.

El resultado son unos pantalones muy cómodos y femeninos.

This year I am lucky to participate in the Sew Long Summer Blog Tour organized by Mahlica Designs. The theme is transitional pieces of clothing, so I decided on the Wardrobe by me Chinos trousers pattern for men.

El maravilloso patrón y tutorial de Wardrobe by me lo pone muy fácil. Se trata de un pantalón de vestir con bolsillos laterales, bolsillos traseros, cinturilla con presillas, cremallera, que se ajusta desde la rodilla hasta el tobillo.. y todo lo que debe tener un señor pantalón, con mayúsculas.

The fabric is light and beautiful jean, with relief, which I bought at the beginning of summer from Wendy de Coser Cosas, which I will miss very much. Wendy is for me synonymous with quality fabrics. She has never let me down and I have always reserved her fabrics for my most special seams. ❤️

This time I have sewn a size 31, and I have adjusted a little the central rear part and I have pointed out the modifications to the pattern because I have already asked for a couple more for this winter!

Duo Dress by Making Patterns Fly

Do you know the designs of Making patterns fly? I have been hypnotized by them for a long time. They have apparently simple lines but all with something that makes them special, fruit of a very good design. I have many on my to-do list and finally, I was lucky enough to try the Duo dress. Recommended fabrics: knit with drape or woven with strech.

Tutorial: Perfect. Super detailed. Step by step with good and detailed graphics are included. As always notches that fit perfectly and help you have a perfect result. The only thing you should notícies is that the right/wrong fabric’ side legend is the opposite as usually is in others brands: here gray is right side of your fabric.

Recommended fabrics: woven with drape as rayon, crepe, tencel ant linen rayon blend.

Talla: tallas 00-20. Yo he usado la 10 (uso la talla 42 en ropa comprada) sin ninguna alteración y me queda perfecto con mi 1,65 cm de altura. La medida principal es la de la cadera y ofrece unas indicaciones para ajustar.

Ensamblaje: Hay que recortar los márgenes. La piezas encajan a la perfección.

Idioma: inglés pero las instrucciones y los gráficos son tan detallados que no es problema no entender el idioma, entre los dibujos y el traductor de Google, no tendrás problemas. De hecho puedes coserlo mirando únicamente los dibujos.

Variantes: Se trata de un pantalón ancho. Las variantes son hacerlo más o menos largo según tu gusto. Para ello las instrucciones te explican como hacerlo. No incluye bolsillos.

Tutorial: Perfecto. Completísimo y detallado, marca de la casa. Describe el paso a paso con buenos y elaborados gráficos.

Como siempre, el patrón tiene aplomos que encajan perfectamente y te ayudan a tener un resultado perfecto. Lo único que debes fijarte es que la leyenda de derecho/revés del tejido es contraria a lo habitual de otras marcas: aquí el color gris es el derecho.

Telas recomendadas: tejidos no elásticos con caída: rayón, crepe, tencel, lino con rayón, etc.

Iris by Naii costura

I bought Naii Costura pattern Iris although my little one was in the last available size because I love this reversible dress, and I told her that it was a pity there wasn’t more sizes avalaible because I love it even for me … so I got excited when a couple of days later she told me she was going to expand sizes and do the adult version! Yupi!

Le compré a Naii costura el patrón Iris a pesar que mi peque estaba en la última talla disponible porque este vestido reversible me encanta, y le comenté que era una lástima que no lo hiciera en más tallas porque me encanta a hasta para mí… así que me emocioné cuando un par de días después me dijo que iba a ampliar tallas y a hacer la versión adulto! Yupi!!

I am very very bad at combining fabrics, so I combine 4 main fabrics plus facings, it was too much for my neurons, so I unified all facings. Also in the tester version the seam allowance was not included .. and I have to admit that blending sizes (98 chest to 116 long) plus add seam allowance all around .. left me exhausted .. at 2 o’clock in the morning (hahaha) night seamstress .. yes …

Yo soy muy muy mala para combinar telas, así que combinar 4 telas principales más las vistas suposo demasiado para mis neuronas, así que unifiqué las vistas. Además en la versión tester el margen de costura no estaba incluído.. y tengo que reconocer que mezclar tallas (98 de pecho a 116 de largo) ya me suposo manipular el patrón, más añadirle el margen.. me dejó agotada.. allá por las 2 de la madrugada (jajjajaja) costurera nocturna.. sí…

I love how it turns out. If I did it again, I would add 3 cm more to the bottom este, because this size is 116 long (the one corresponding to her height) and the hem was 0.5 because if it did not fall short, especially the curved side.

El resultado me encanta. Si lo volviera a hacer añadiría 3 cm más a los bajos, porque esta talla es la 116 de largo (la que corresponde a su altura) y el dobladillo lo hice a 0,5 porque si no en nada se le quedaba corto, especialmente el lado curvo.

Instead of buttons I have put snaps .. here we are very fans of snaps. I have simply played with the colors of the snaps according to the fabric and can barely see it when the dress is turned, besides the brown side with the snaps on the other side, it is folded and the green pistachio is seen as a lapel and it looks beautiful too.

En lugar de botones he puesto snaps.. aquí somos muy fans de los snaps. Simplemente he jugado con los colores de los snaps según la tela y apenas se ven cuando el vestido lo giras, además el lado marrón con los snaps del otro lado, se dobla y se vé el verde pistacho como solapa y queda precioso también.

Misusu Patterns is a brand from the Netherlands focused on knit patterns with comfortable and modern designs with geometric lines that have me in love because they always have something special and different on it. And that is the case of the Doris skirt for woman, its latest release.

Se trata de un tanga ancho en la espalda pero muy cómodo.. Yo a falta de encontrar las puntillas desaparecidas en algún lugar de esta casa, utilicé la misma tela para los acabados y estoy encantadísima con el resultado, es súper cómodo.

The pattern is a set of three differents types of underwear, cheeky hipster, high cheeky hipster and wide thong.

El patrón ofrece desde la tradicional braguita, la braguita brasileña y el tanga.

I like wide thong and cheeky hipster, so I had sewn both.

It is a top with the center front gathering and with optional butterfly sleeves.

Se trata de un top con la parte del centro del cuello con pliegues y con mangas mariposa opcionales.

leaving my comfort zone I have sewn the butterfly sleeves wiew. I have to admit that it’s hard for me to see myself with this sleeves style. But what I already have cut is one sleeveless … and I think it will not be the last!

Como siempre, el patrón tiene aplomos que encajan perfectamente y te ayudan a tener un resultado perfecto. Lo único que debes fijarte es que la leyenda derecho/revés de la tela es la contraria a lo habitual: aquí el gris es el derecho.
